Our boarding facility, located at our Mountain Empire Animal Hospital, was finished and opened in December 2001. This facility is designed to accommodate both dogs and cats in environments suitable to the individual species.

The canine facility has 19 3'X 7' runs And 4 5'X 7' runs that are in a well- Ventilated room with a 10' ceiling. The room can be heated, air-conditioned, Or allowed to breeze when the weather is suitable. The run walls are epoxy- paint coated block with chain-link doors.

Also available are cages in a room Separate from the cats for dogs that Do better in a smaller, more "indoor- type" environment.

We cannot house the dogs outdoors per city code but we have 4 outdoor exercise areas where the dogs are released 2-3 times daily, weather permitting.

The feline boarding area consists of a separate indoor room with 18 kitty suites. These are units made of synthetic laminate as opposed to stainless steel cages. Each suite has a shelf for rest above the bottom of the unit. Multiple-cat families that are boarding can use 2 adjacent suites and go back-and-forth through the intersuite doors.

Boarding appointments can be made through our receptionists. Animals can be bathed while boarding. You may bring your pet's own food, although prices include food: we feed Hill's Science Diet. It is a good idea to call early for Holiday boarding appointments.
